TitleLetter from Sir Robert Peel to Queen Victoria
Date28 May 1843
WriterPeel, Robert, Sir, 2nd Baronet
AddresseeVictoria, Queen
DescriptionInformation respecting Princess Augusta's marriage. Instrument for the appointment of the Duke of Cambridge as Ranger of the Park, to be sent to Queen Victoria. Answer received by the Prince from the Duchess of Gloucester says that the King of Hanover arrives 31 May. This unreliable. Queen Victoria's impression as to uncertainty probably the right one. The delay in the Instrument, for the appointment of the Prince to be Grand Master of the Order of the Bath, was due to waiting for an answer to a question as to the department in which it should be made out. Sir James Graham is asked to send the Instrument to Her Majesty.
