Description
During the debate in the Commons [on the Irish Arms Bill] the State of Ireland generally was entered into. Lord Eliot proposed Second Reading. Crawford moved rejection of the Irish Arms Bill which provides for the continuance of the existing law respecting possession of arms in Ireland, which would expire at the end of the present Session. Adjournment of debate. Lord John Russell declared himself hostile to the Repeal of the Irish Union.
