DescriptionLord Ellenborough recommended a Parliamentary pension of £500 per annum to Sir Robert and Lady Sale after the successful defence of Jellalabad [Jalalabad]. For this a message from Queen Victoria to the Commons necessary. Peel thinks this so unusual that he suggests a pension of £500 to Lady Sale out of the fund at Her Majesty's disposal. Sir Robert to receive the same if he survives Lady Sale.
