DescriptionSir James Graham has received no intelligence at the Home Office of cholera at Sheffield. Is making inquiries. Ormonde gratefully accepts the Ribbon [Order of St Patrick]. The Earl of Galloway is Lieutenant of two counties - Wigtown and Kircudbright. Lord Selkirk was not of age when Kircudbright was given to Lord Galloway. Galloway offered to resign if Selkirk were chosen his successor for Kircudbright. Peel would give no guarantee, and advised him to resign unconditionally.
