DescriptionShould Lieutenant Colonel Lord Arthur Lennox be willing to vacate the Board of Treasury, he should be made Clerk of the Ordnance [Board of Ordnance]. Special qualifications for the post. Lord Ripon proposes Sir Charles Douglas as a Secretary to the Board of Control, but Peel demurs. Does not think him equal to the duties. Mr Hope, Commissioner of Greenwich Hospital, is to vacate office to become Governor of the Isle of Man, as recommended by Sir James Graham.
