Description
Russell criticised the Government, regarding the absence of the Sovereign from the Country, for not making provision for the exercise of Royal Authority by the appointment of Lords Justices. Peel inquiring into precedents since 1688. Law Officers startled at the suggestion of departing from the precedent of George IV. The question may be raised next Session. Peel thinks it well to consider the appointment of Lords Justices.
