Description
Feeling of Commons friendly to France. Peel demonstrates to the House the advantage of a friendly feeling towards France in the endeavour to put a stop to the war between Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Peel states the Government's determination to co-operate with France in this matter. The House of Commons does not seem to require Peel to present papers regarding Tahiti and Mr Pritchard. General agreement that the affair should be buried in oblivion.
