Peel's interview with William, 2nd Earl of Lonsdale, who is greatly gratified with the offer of a place in the Cabinet. Peel thinks he will accept. Peel has seen Lord Aberdeen concerning Bagshot [Park], and thinks his lordship would accept the house at Blackheath gladly if Queen Victoria offered it. |
