Interesting letter from Henry, 1st Viscount Hardinge. Death of the Earl of Errol leaves the Green Ribbon [of the Order of the Thistle] at liberty. Peel advises delay in appropriating it. The death of the Earl of Errol causes a vacancy in the Lieutenancy of Aberdeenshire. Peel recommends Lord Aberdeen as his Successor.
