Description
Hamilton moved an Address to Queen Victoria, praying for a change in the present system of National Education in Ireland. [The idea being to remove conscientious objections of Clergy and Laity of Established Church to the system.] Rejected. Russell reports useless discussion on better provision for maintenance of indigent poor. Russell has given Monday to Disraeli for his motion on the State of the Nation. He will enter into all the topics of Free Trade, Foreign and Financial Affairs which have been debated during the last five years.
