Description
Russell sends draft of dispatch from Palmerston to Lord Normanby respecting the conduct of Prussia. Russell says it is 'very just and good'. He also sends draft of Palmerston's dispatch to Normanby, relating to affairs in the River Plate and to the conduct of British and French agents in foreign countries. Russell says it requires correction, and sends draft with the omissions he proposes, with Palmerston's observations on them. Second Clause of the Poor Relief Bill (for Ireland) passed. Twenty hours spent on the first two clauses and many divisions.
