Description
Civil Service Estimates: Henley's motion for reduction of 10 percent on all Public Salaries negatived. Russell remarks that while it could only have immediately affected Salaries, it would ultimately have been applied to the Law, Household, perhaps the pay of Army and Navy. Ordnance Estimates: again interrupted; not yet finished. Russell sends a letter from the Primate of Ireland, which Lord Clarendon is anxious for Queen Victoria to see.
