Description
Lord Clare's death creates a vacancy in the Order of St Patrick. Russell names the Earl of Meath. Russell recommends £300 a year pension for Professor Wilson. Russell, in concurrence with the Lord Chancellor, recommends that the Senior Vice-Chancellors, Sir J. Knight Bruce and Lord Cranworth, be appointed Judges of the Court of Appeal in the new Court of Appeal in Chancery. Russell will consult the Lord Chancellor as to the best persons to fill the vacant Vice Chancellor offices.The death of Lord Clare creates a vacancy in the Lieutenancy of Limerick. Russell names Colonel FitzGibbon.
