DescriptionRussell tells Queen Victoria that Palmerston has made the alteration in the dispatch relating to the appointment of Captain Gore [as the Queen's Charge d'Affaires, and Consul General in the Port of Buenos Aires]. Russell submits to Queen Victoria some interesting private letters he has received from Palmerston. Sir James Knight Bruce and Lord Cranworth have accepted appointment as Judges of the Court of Appeal in the new Court of Appeal in Chancery.
