Description
Queen Victoria expresses her appreciation of Russell's letter, and her pride in her husband's share in the Great Exhibition's success. She speaks of it as the greatest triumph of peace which the world has ever produced. Queen Victoria is grateful to Providence for being united to so noble a Prince. Queen Victoria will confer the knighthoods, but is sorry not to see Mr Dilke's name. Hopes to see the difficulty removed, and some mark of favour for his splendid work.
