DescriptionRussell remembers Queen Victoria mentioning Miss Seymour to succeed Miss Lennox (as Maid of Honour) on her marriage. Lord Seymour finds that the depth of Marble Arch would make it very inconvenient as an entrance to Kensington Gardens, and inclines to Cumberland Gate. Russell cannot promise Civil List pensions for Miss Mitchel and Miss Hudson. There may be complaint againt Miss Boyle and Miss Eden having pensions, after the large allowances granted by Parliament to the Queen Dowager. Cannot Miss Hudson superintend the education of the younger princesses? Lady Lyttelton and Miss Hillyard may feel unequal to their duties.
