Description
Sir George Grey's satisfactory answer to a question in the Commons [regarding Foreigners in London]. Russell says in Lord Lansdowne's absence (through Lady Lansdowne's illness), Lord Torrington's motion [that a Message be sent to the Commons for a copy of Report and Evidence of Select Committee of Affairs in Ceylon] was agreed to in the Lords. Something said by Lord Grey led to a misapprehension on the part of the Duke of Wellington.
