Description
Russell says arrangement now made (regarding Royal Balls) satisfactory. Balls on Wednesdays preferable [to Mondays, which are always busy days in the Commons]. Disraeli's motion - a resolution that any relief that can be given from taxation ought to be given to the Landed Interest. Free Traders will generally vote against it. Russell refers to a letter in the "Times" on a subject which would excite public attention. The new town which has grown up west of Buckingham Palace requires a freer access to town than is now given. Will Queen Victoria consult Lord Seymour?
