Description
Pakington says that in consequence of doubts regarding whether Queen Victoria's hereditary and casual revenues in Colonies were not included in arrangements made by the Civil List Act, a bill is in the Commons to enable Her Majesty to apply such revenues to public purposes in the Colonies where they are found. This will be necessary e.g. the discovery of gold in Australia. Packington trusts Her Majesty will approve.
