DescriptionSir J. Pakington has heard from the Earl of Waldegrave that a New Zealand Chief now in England, is shortly returning home, and desires to be presented to Queen Victoria. Pakington says Te Raparaha is rich, intelligent, and a convert to Christianity, showing what progress indigenous peoples are making. It would do good if he were presented. What is Her Majesty's pleasure?
