Civil List pensions requested for the following: the widow of Dr Glen (Missionary and translator of the New Testament into Persian); Sir Francis Bond Head (in consideration of his contributions to literature); Reverend William Hickey (in consideration of his writings in the cause of agriculture and social improvement in Ireland); Mrs Oliver Lang (in consideration of the eminent services of her husband, Mr Oliver Lang, Master Shipwright at Woolwich, and of his valuable inventions in connection with naval architecture); the widow of David Moir (in consideration of his literary and scientific works in connection with surgery); the widow of Joseph Train (in consideration of the valuable aid derived by Sir Walter Scott from Mr Train's antiquarian and literary researches).
