Description
Sir Robert Peel appointed Under Secretary of State for the Colonial Office. Writ moved for Lord Duncan's (Viscount Adam Haldane-Duncan, after 2nd Earl of Camperdown) re-election, on his appointment as Scotch Lord of the Treasury. Lord Palmerston's intention of resisting Sir J. Shelley's motion for appointing a Committee to inquire into the dismissal of Mr T.F. Kennedy from the Department of Woods and Forests.
