Description
Queen Victoria is glad that Lord Campbell approves the plan of having a Council with whom the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster is to manage the Duchy property. The Queen sanctions the appointment of the Duke of Bedford on to the Council, and would herself have proposed it to him but was afraid of giving him too much trouble. Queen Victoria names the Members of the Council and wishes Lord Campbell to make a proposal respecting the Council, following the precedent of the Duchy of Cornwall.
