Description | Queen Victoria consents to the harvest Thanksgiving Day, although she fears that the Clergy may take advantage of this and say that the harvest is all due to the Fast Day: a day of thanksgiving, however, is not like a Day of fasting. The Queen notes how sorry they are to leave the Highlands, although the weather was not good, and how much they enjoy the scenery and their life there. She describes Prince Albert's and her own forthcoming movements. |
