Description
Queen Victoria will be sorry if Mr. [James Price] Lee cannot be the Bishop of Manchester. The Queen is glad that money matters look better, and hopes they will continue to improve. The state of Italy is alarming and the Queen is anxious that England should not appear to be encouraging the revolts. The Queen has much confidence in Lord Minto's moderation and good judgement. She regrets Lord St Germans's refusal.
