Description
Lord Palmerston has written a long letter to the Queen, urging the appointment of Lord Normanby as Ambassador at Paris; but Queen Victoria is not convinced, and suspects that Palmerston has already settled the matter with Normanby. She wishes Lord John to see her answer to Palmerston, and notes that Palmerston has passed over in silence the other diplomatic changes and appointments.
