Description
The Queen approves the proposed pension for the widow of General F. Maitland. She forwards two letters from Mr McLeod, a godson of the late Duke of Kent, who is in great distress, and would be very glad if Lord John could find something for him. Sir Robert Peel's speech must have been a very fine one. The Queen willl see Lord Powis next Tuesday. Alarming reports are said to be in circulation from Paris: has Lord John heard anything?
