Title
Letter from Queen Victoria to [?Lord Palmerston]
Date
26 April 1850
Writer
Victoria, Queen
Addressee
Palmerston, 3rd Viscount
Description
Queen Victoria says that Prussia cannot be bound to make a peace by which she engages to enforce the demands of Denmark on Schleswig. It has been a difficulty in the observance of the Armistice, and Prussia is right in not making it permanent by Peace. The Schleswig Question was a most unfit one for a 3rd Power to make war upon. Bur peace ought to be made for Europe's sake. Queen Victoria deprecates attaching to it the condition that it is to solve the Schleswig Question.
