Title
Letter from Queen Victoria to Lord John Russell
Date
4 June 1850
Writer
Victoria, Queen
Addressee
Russell, John, Lord
Description
Queen Victoria considers the Address regarding Sunday Labour in the Post Office to be absurd. The next thing will be to forbid warm food on Sundays. The Queen suggests compliance only if it will not cause serious inconvenience to the Public, before at once giving way. People ought to be able to communicate in emergency. Queen Victoria grieves to see the Jewish spirit growing instead of the true one of Christianity.
