DescriptionQueen Victoria approves Lord John Russell's answer with regard to Schleswig Holstein. The Queen is indignant at the outrage on General Haynau. Doubtless the Hungarian and the Polish Refugees are at the bottom of it. Queen Victoria approves the appointment of Sir Dennis Le Marchand as Clerk to the House of Commons. The Queen approves the appointmnet of Charles J. Grey, brother to Sir George Grey, as Paymaster of Civil Services (in Ireland).
