Title
Letter from Queen Victoria to Lord John Russell
Date
11 October 1850
Writer
Victoria, Queen
Addressee
Russell, John, Lord
Description
Queen Victoria says that 3rd Viscount Palmerston has not only sent the draft to Baron Keller [Austrian Ambassador], but passes over in silence her request to have a corrected copy given to Keller. He also adds a vituperation against General Haynau, (General Julius Jacob von Haynau), which clearly shows that he is not sorry for what has happened. He makes a merit of sympathising with the draymen, and the Chartist demonstrations. He displays vindictiveness against all who crossed his purpose. Lord John Russell must write to Palmerston.
