TitleLetter from Queen Victoria to Lord John Russell
Date4 February 1851
WriterVictoria, Queen
AddresseeRussell, John, Lord
DescriptionQueen Victoria is glad that the subject of the Diplomatic Appointments is to be reconsidered. She approves Lord John Russell's first proposal but not the second, because Russell has omitted Frankfort [Frankfurt], which she wishes to be adequately provided for, which it would not be if Jerningham were sent there. The Queen will look at Henry Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston's proposal when she gets to Windsor.
