Description
With regard to the Ministerial Crisis, Queen Victoria has seen Aberdeen (George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen) and Graham (Sir James Graham) who are ready to do anything that could be of use to the Queen and the Country. Their opinion is that Stanley (Edward Stanley, Baron Stanley of Alderley) should be asked to form a Ministry. Queen Victoria will send for Stanley tomorrow. The Queen asked Aberdeen to form a Government, but he could not undertake it. Papal aggression would be an insurmountable difficulty for him.
