Queen Victoria approves the appointment of Sir John Romilly as master of the Rolls, sucessor Lord Langdale (Henry Bickersteth, 1st Baron Langdale). Queen Victoria considers Law Reforms more than ever necessary and hopes the new master of the Rolls (Sir John Romilly) will take an active part in them. The Queen and Prince Albert are very anxious to hear the result on the debate on the Ecclesiastical Title Bill. Queen Victoria approves the appointment of Lord Howth (Thomas St Lawrence, 3rd Earl of Howth) as Lieutenant for Dublin County.
