DescriptionWith regard to the strengthening of the Government, Queen Victoria has received Lord John Russell's letters and Sir James Graham and Russell's answers. The Queen concurs that further negotiation will lead to no result, and possibly do harm. Queen Victoria will open Parliament in person but was surprised to see the fact announced in the papers.
