The majority on the Budget is gratifying to Queen Victoria. The Queen was gratified at the Support for the Government, alike in the Commons and the Country: but it was to be expected in view of the endeavour to ensure the welfare and prosperity of the Country. Queen Victoria appreciates Lord John Russell's cordial and handsome support of William Ewart Gladstone in his arduous and triumphant undertaking.
