Description
With regard to the Reform Bill, Queen Victoria's satisfaction with George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen's note of the settlement of the question by postponement for the present Session, on the condition that it is to be brought on when the state of affairs will allow of calm consideration in Parliament. Lord John Russell's sacrifice of personal feeling is compensated by the fact that a Dissolution at this crisis is avoided.
