Queen Victoria has seen Henry-Petty-Fitzmaurice, 3rd Marquess of Lansdowne, after his conference with Lord John Russell and Henry Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston. So far Lansdowne's interference has led to no result. The Queen feels therefore that she should urge them to attempt to form a Ministry.
