Description
Queen Victoria recommends that Mr Paget be appointed to negociate the marriage treaty. She does not think Mr Lowther would be a good appointment as Secretary in the Embassy at Berlin, and wonders what can be done about Greece. She does not wish to give regular formal audiences, but names a few exceptions. TheQueen trusts Lord Russell will be 'very firm' with the Danish Government [over Schleswig-Holstein], and mentions Princess Alexandra's soon arrival.
