Victoria, Queen

Russell, 1st Earl
Description
Queen Victoria wishes that her Equerries (including the Clerk Marshal) should "not be in Parliament" in order to avoid the necessity of "their changing with changes of Government" and therefore asks Earl Russell to agree to making these appointments non-political.
