Description
Lord John Russell writes that he has received the first memorial of the Dean of Hereford. He states that he would have sent it to the newspapers but did not want to publish Lord Melbourne's letter without his consent. Lord John Russell explains his intention of writing a letter to the Dean of Hereford explaining why he chose Dr Hampden over the Dean. He encloses a letter from Sir George Grey and also discusses other government matters.
