Letter from Colonel Charles Beaumont Phipps to Prince Albert reporting that at the command of His Royal Highness he had visited a few different places in London to see whether any remarks were made among the general public regarding the Queen's departure from London. He states that he heard none and that any remarks that had been made were probably confined to 'the gossip of the drawing room'.
