DescriptionLetter from Sir George Grey to Prince Albert stating that the precautions taken by the military and police had 'been most gratifying' and that the spirits of the people of London were excellent. He mentions that there were people in the streets however steps would be taken to prevent any disturbances throughout the night. Grey also reports that he had decided to take possession of the Electric Telegraph Company to prevent false reports being sent to the rest of the country.
