DescriptionLetter from Prince Albert to Lord John Russell enclosing a dispatch from Colonel Duplat, and a letter from Lord Cowley (not present) and stating that the fate of Germany is now in the hands of the Emperor of Russia. This is an outcome the Prince feared with the signing of the 'London Protocol', which isolated Prussia. He also mentions that he has received news from Vienna that his uncle, Prince Ferdinand, has suffered a stroke.
