DescriptionLetter from the Prince Consort to Lord John Russell on the Princess Royal's letter regarding her apprehensions on the appointment of Lord Augustus Loftus in Berlin. He reports that the Princess believes he is anti-Prussian and only for the interests of Austria and the minor kingdoms. The Prince Consort also reports that the Queen intends to send some officers of the Household to Plymouth to 'compliment' the Empress of Austria on her arrival.
