Draft letter from Prince Albert to Sir Robert Peel on Civil List expenditure. He accepts the proposed £3,000 from the Reserve Fund to buy presents for Her Majesty's visit to France and Belgium. Plus writes of the desirability of the Royal Household Department Heads to pay income tax and of the possibility of the Lord Steward laying by a sum to give him the necessary advance.
