Letter from Lord Sydney to Prince Albert on a proposed scheme of re-organisation of the Corps of Gentleman-at-Arms. The precedent of Yeomen of the Guard mainly followed alternative methods for providing against men unfit for duty through age remaining in the Corps. Officers' commissions not to be dealt with at present.
