Treasury Minute addressed to the Trustees of the British Museum regarding a proposal for the extension of the British Museum site and building. Includes considerations of present site at Bloomsbury and a new site at Kensington. Parliament propose that a site at Kensington be considered as it would be cheaper than buying further land at Bloomsbury. Previously enclosed with letter from William Gladstone to Prince Albert (see VIC/MAIN/F/27/113).
