DescriptionLetter from Lord Granville to General Charles Grey on the question of the presidency of the Fine Arts Commission, Royal Commission for 1851, and the Royal Horticultural Society, on the death of Prince Albert. Granville states his reluctance to take his place as President of the Fine Arts Commission and instead suggests Lord Canning. He also suggests postponing any decision relating to the presidency of the Royal Commission of 1851 but mentions that it may be taken on by the Prince of Wales at a later date.
