Description
Letter from Henry Cole to General Charles Grey on proposals by the Society of Arts for carrying out the Exhibition of 1862, including a request for a Charter of Incorporation to establish permanent means of holding international exhibitions. Cole describes the proposed provisions for such a body and asks that Prince Albert be the one to make the request. Enclosed was a list of those who had pledged to join the Guarantee for such an exhibition (see VIC/MAIN/F/27/40).
